Why did Environmental Architecture emerge?
Environmental Architecture was born from the urgency to transform the mental and technical mechanisms of conventional architecture across time. Faced with the urgent situation of the planet, with climate change, the reduction of natural resources, high pollution, and environmental injustice, construction professionals are incorporating sustainability into their training subjects.
Achieving a new architectural model is one of the most critical challenges of this profession since it is currently based, in most cases, outdated and far from reality study plans. Environmental Architecture arises so that this profession, which is partially losing its capacity for renewal and self-criticism, adapts to the needs of the future.
